In almost every part of the world, the dragonfly symbolises change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realisation. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life. The dragonfly’s scurrying flight across water represents an act of going beyond what is on the surface and looking into the deeper implications and aspects of life. The dragonfly moves with elegance and grace. The dragonfly is iridescent both on its wings and body. Iridescent shows itself in different colours depending on the angle and how the light falls on it. The magical property of iridescence is also associated with the discovery of one’s own abilities by unmasking the real self and removing the doubts one casts on their sense of identity.
The dragonfly normally lives most of its life as a nymph or immature. It flies only for a fraction of its life. This symbolises and exemplifies the virtue of living in the moment and living life to the fullest. By living in the moment you are aware of who you are, where you are, what you are doing, what you want, what you don’t want, and to make informed choices on a moment-to-moment basis.
The eyes of the dragonfly symbolise the uninhibited vision of the mind and the ability to see beyond the limitations of the human self. Dragonflies can be a symbol of self that comes with maturity. They can symbolise going past self-created illusions that limit our growth and ability to change.
The dragonfly has been a symbol of happiness, new beginnings and change for many centuries. The dragonfly means hope, change, and love.

And that is what I love about RTT®, as it is a powerful hybrid method that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are a result of disturbing life experiences. Most physical pains and illnesses are caused or aggravated by a mental factor such as internal conflict or stress, leading to emotional pain.
It is widely assumed that emotional pain requires a long time to heal. RTT® shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much like the body recovers from physical trauma. When you cut your hand, your body works to close the wound. If an outside object or repeated injury irritates the wound, it worsens and causes pain. Once the block or trigger is removed, healing resumes. RTT® demonstrates that a similar sequence of events occurs with mental processes. The brain’s information processing system naturally moves towards mental health because it is the mind’s job to keep you alive for as long as possible. If the system is blocked or imbalanced by the impact of a disturbing event, the emotional wound worsens and can cause intense suffering. Once the block is removed, healing can begin. Using the detailed protocols and procedures of RTT® I help clients activate their natural healing processes.
RTT® is getting recognised as an effective treatment of pain and trauma. It is a method that combines the most effective techniques from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), hypnotherapy (hypnosis involves powerful but little-understood psychosomatic interactions) and psychotherapy, and thus RTT® is effective in treating the negative self-sabotaging beliefs that are the reason people have low self-esteem, feelings of powerlessness, and the myriads problems that bring them in for therapy.
What a session involves?
RTT® has emerged as a distinctive approach that aims to deliver permanent change in a single 90-minute session…
…although some clients and some issues will need up to 3 sessions.
RTT® facilitates the access of the traumatic memory network, so that information processing is enhanced, with new associations forged between the traumatic memory and more adaptive memories or information. These new associations are thought to result in complete information processing, new learning, elimination of emotional distress, and development of cognitive insights.
The insights clients gain during an RTT® session result not so much from the therapists interpretation, but from the client’s own accelerated intellectual and emotional processes. The end effect is that clients complete a session feeling empowered by the very experiences that once debased them. Their wounds have not just closed, they have transformed.
RTT® session involves attention to three time periods: the past, present, and future. Focus is given to past events, understanding their meaning and the effect they have on clients. During a session, we uncover the negative meaning/ interpretation (self-beliefs) from disturbing memories and related events. Attention is also given to current situations which are the trigger that causes distress.
Then we change the meaning/interpretation (self-beliefs) to ones which are positive and empowering, and developing the skills and attitudes needed for positive future actions. A personalised recording is created to rewire the subconscious for fast effective and long-term change.
How transformation happenS?
It’s normal for people to respond differently to an RTT® session. The mind learns by repetition, and some people need more…
…repetition than others. We are all unique and so, change differently. There are different types of change, Immediate, Cumulative and Retrospective. Some clients get the instant, huge a-ha, but many get some instant, plus cumulative, plus retrospective results. Everyone wants the instant magic, but whatever happens, there is all kinds of clearing at a deep level. Some clients don’t notice the change, until one day they suddenly notice a difference, months down the line. Listening to the recording is crucial in supporting all three of these experiences of change.
Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviours during and immediately after the session.
Cumulative: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
Retrospective: You do not see the shifts right away, then one day you look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.
In addition, after the session the client gets a personalised recording and support and coaching (if necessary) for a month. Schedule of booked calls would be organised to suit both of us and I am available via email 24/7.
